Big Slide Creative is a production studio specializing in short documentary video for brands.
Since 2018, we’ve worked with both large brands and local mom-and-pops to tell engaging and emotional stories designed to reel people in. Instead of “content” imposed on viewers, we make films they’ll seek out on purpose. Not what plays before you click “skip ads”, but what plays after.
Big Slide is proudly based in Rochester, New York, and has worked on-location around the world. With a nationwide rolodex of cinematographers, editors, composers, and colorists, Big Slide provides end-to-end service including story research and development, on-location production, editing, and finishing.

Mike is a film school reject and founder of Big Slide. He began his career as a newspaper photographer and learned to appreciate the power of a good, true story. After years working as a freelancer for clients like The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, Mike returned to his film roots and launched Big Slide with the goal of applying journalism’s facts-first sensibility to the production of brand films and short documentaries. Mike is an FAA-certified drone pilot. When he’s not directing or shooting, he’s probably outside with his wife and dog.
