What does Big Slide Creative do?

Big Slide is a full-service video production company. We primarily make nonfiction content, like short documentaries, branded content, and testimonial videos. Really any project that features real people or “nonprofessional talent.” We handle the shoot itself, of course, but our approach also includes story development: how does the character’s real-life experience illustrate your brand’s values? How can we best direct our subject - usually in an interview - to convey the message we’re looking for? We aim to be more than just “executors”, but to elevate your existing ideas, and frequently to uncover new storylines you didn’t even know about.

How would you describe the work Big Slide produces?

We help brands tell their story through thoughtful, authentic, and emotional video storytelling. Ideally, the films and videos we produce for our clients are compelling enough to stand on their own. While traditional corporate video might focus on quantifiable claims about your company’s product (and we know that’s important to highlight sometimes), we focus on building goodwill for your brand through story.

Do you travel?

Yes! We go wherever the story takes us. Most of our work is shot on-location, not in a studio. We’ve told stories across the United States, plus a handful of times in Europe.

What kinds of videos do you make?

Big Slide Creative produces short documentaries, branded content, and testimonial videos. Our work may be used on owned channels (your company’s YouTube or Facebook channel) or as digital or broadcast advertising.

How much does it cost to hire Big Slide Creative?

The honest but unhelpful answer is “it depends.” Every project is different, and our scope will be tailored specifically to your needs and goals. We aim to be fully transparent with our rates, and we’re happy to provide a fully itemized quote upon request.

How long does the production process take?

Again, it depends on the scale of the project. The number and type of deliverables, the complexity of the editorial process, and the pace of feedback from the client can all impact turnaround time. As a general guideline, count on 2-3 weeks of pre-production (story research, pre-interviews, interview prep), the shoot (usually 1 to 3 days), followed by 2-6 weeks of post-production.
