Positive change for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities through nursing
The Golisano Institute for Developmental Disability Nursing reached out soon after its founding, looking to establish a library of video content. To date, Big Slide has produced six videos to support the Institute’s mission: empowering nurses to work more effectively with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Real Stories
The Institute has always prioritized involving people with disabilities in their marketing as well as their curriculum. Even before the Institute’s educational resources were fully up and running, we produced two 3-minute documentaries about real people and the challenges they’ve faced with healthcare providers.
The Anthem
The Institute’s curriculum has reached nurses, nurse educators, and hospital leaders across the country. Our team traveled to four states to interview some of them. We produced several program-specific videos as well as an Institute Anthem video.
